Sid Francis

Sid hails from the UK but has been travelling the world since 1982 and has been based in China since the early 2000s.

He has been an ardent naturalist since he was a small child and his involvement with wildlife and conservation has spanned both hobby and professional roles for many years.

Sid has been involved in wildlife-related research roles and been both author and co-author on multiple articles relating to ornithology.

He began guiding in 2007 and since then, this has taken him to all part of China and he is highly experienced in the west of the country and Tibetan Plateau and has been guiding the WildWings trips to China for many years.

His guiding experience includes finding Red and Giant Pandas, Snow Leopards and many of the difficult to find endemic bird species.
