Ocean Albatros

Ocean Albatros is a very modern ship which was launched in 2023. It has one of the highest ice classes of any vessel that regularly explores the Arctic and Antarctic with passengers and is classified as Polar code 6 and Ice class 1A.

The ship is an X-Bow®-Infinity class vessel which is regarded as providing good stability in rough weather with smoother movement in high waves.

The ship has a total of 94 comfortable staterooms and suites, all of which have unobstructed sea views, with most having their own balcony.

Ocean Albatros has two restaurants, an observation lounge, a wellness area, bar, a modern lecture lounge, unique panorama sauna and other state-of-the-art amenities.

The vessel has more than a 50% lower carbon footprint than traditional expedition vessels and is one of the most environmentally friendly, implementing the Green Initiative Programme, ensuring both absolute comfort and sustainability for guests.

The vessel is part of a brand new generation of low-energy vessels, with 4 diesel engines and 2 electro engines, all controlled electronically to optimize speed and fuel consumption.
