Sanderling	Calidris alba	Small numbers around the saltpans and a flock at Laem Pak Bia sandspit.
Spoon-billed Sandpiper	Calidris pygmeus	The first group saw three birds, two well in good light on the first day before a Peregrine moved in and flushed everything from the area. The second group got four on the first day building to six on the last, and once again some excellent views.
Red-necked Stint	Calidris ruficollis	Commonly seen with occasional largish flocks but I feel down in numbers compared with previous years.
Temminck's Stint	Calidris temminckii	Surprisingly, only one bird recorded at the Kings Project during first tour.
Long-toed Stint	Calidris subminuta	Good numbers at the Kings Project with smaller numbers scattered around saltpans.
Dunlin	Calidris alpina sakhalina	A few birds picked out amongst the masses of Curlew Sandpipers on both tours.

Broad-billed Sandpiper	Limicola falcinellus	Small groups throughout with some excellent views on both trips.
Red-necked Phalarope	Phalaropus lobatus	4 birds observed at Pak Thale during both tours.

White-faced Plover	Charadrius (alexandrinus) dealbatus	Excellent views of the male at Laem Pak Bia on both trips, a really striking individual! A female also seen on the second trip though elusive.
Malaysian Plover	Charadrius peronii	Around 7 birds present at Laem Pak Bia Sandspit, seen well on both tours.

Great Black-headed Gull	Larus ichthyaetus	A sub-adult on saltpans during second tour and a brief flyby further up the coast were Unfortunately the only records.

Due to the relative early success with our target species, both groups enjoyed a full days birding in the wonderful forest reserve at Kaeng Krachan, a welcome escape from the heat of the coastal saltpans. Apologies if I have missed anything out, birds did seem to come thick and fast!
