The Pacific Ocean  is the largest and deepest, and covers one third of the entire Earth’s surface, more than all the landmasses put together. Not only is it the largest but also the deepest, deeper than Mount Everest is high. This vast region is dotted with thousands of islands, either formed volcanically or based on coral (atolls). For the seabirder and ocean-going naturalist it offers many exciting opportunities and is to some degree relatively unexplored. After our success with the Western Pacific Odyssey see here, we plan to continue to open this region up to birders and ocean travellers.
